Škoda's individual approach to design has made the Superb a fascinating vehicle. The Superb marks its arrival sporting several new features. For the first time in a Škoda vehicle there is a driver's knee and rear side airbags, part of nine airbags offering supreme protection. The Superb also includes Park Assist and Bi-Xenon headlamps with Adaptive Frontlight System for your convenience and safety. The 118TSI engine powers an all-new 7-speed automatic DSG transmission.

The TwinDoor system

The TwinDoor, a unique system of opening the boot, is an original Škoda design guaranteed to take your breath away. If you wish to place smaller items in the boot, simply open the boot as you would on a classic Sedan type body. But when you need to move a larger or bulkier load, the Superb transformation begins. Thanks to the TwinDoor system you can open the rear boot, including the rear window, as you would with a Liftback and get easy access to the luggage space. And, by tilting the backrest of the rear seats, the volume of usable space can be increased from 565 to an imposing 1,670 litres.

And when you need to close the TwinDoor, let the lid lightly close to be fully locked by electrical motors automatically.

Comfort and practicality

The Superb is the most luxurious Škoda yet, but comfort does not just mean imposing internal space. Every functional detail corresponds to your individual demands for comfort and security on any journey.

Let’s start at the beginning. Specially-moulded seats, with a more expressive lateral finish and upper support for the backrest, are shaped for the maximum level of comfort. Choose your level finish to bring together technology, performance and style.

When driving on hot summer days, dual-zone climate control air-conditioning will ensure a pleasant environment in the interior for either the driver or front passenger. The sunroof with solar panels ensures ventilation of cool air even in a parked car. And what could be better for refreshment than drinks cooled in an air-conditioned glovebox?

Relax to the music of your choice or your favourite radio station in high quality thanks to the ‘Bolero’ radio, with a slot for an SD card and an integrated six-disc CD changer, all controlled from the steering wheel.

To guarantee the control elements are easily visible at night there are white CatVision LED diodes alongside the reading lights in the roof panel. Getting out of the car in the dark is also made easier by the illuminated internal door handles and boarding lights on the underside of the external mirrors and doors.

The Superb lives up to its name when it comes to safety thanks to its wide range of active and passive safety elements, including some new features that offer maximum protection of passengers.
As the flagship for the Škoda range, the Superb naturally places the protection of driver and passenger as paramount. Independent testing performed by Euro-NCAP, in which the Superb attained the highest possible rating of five stars, has vindicated this pursuit of safety without compromise.

Airbags are an integral part of a car’s safety features today. The Škoda Superb has nine airbags as standard. In addition to the curtain airbags, driver’s and front passenger’s airbags, and side airbags in the front, the Superb has a knee airbag for the driver and side airbags for the rear passengers.
