The design of the new Octavia draws on Škoda’s rich history while looking forward with enhanced dynamism and confidence. A higher degree of sophistication, clean elegant lines and a redesigned front and rear of the vehicle announce the arrival of the new Octavia.
Perfect fusion of technology and design
The new features and layout of the interior provide a feeling of comfort and safety. The Octavia now offers a completely new generation of three and four-spoke steering wheels, audio and navigation systems available throughout the model range.
The instrument panel is an example of progressive, elegant design, combined with soft, touch-friendly surfaces. White LED illumination provides an elegant contrast against the black instrument panel while the traditional green under-lighting of the rest of the electronic components creates a driver-friendly contrast.
The new materials and colours of the seats and the lining of the door panels are inspired by contemporary trends, and complement the new decors of the instrument panel for each of the trim levels.
Advanced technology
The technology featured in the new Octavia is amongst the most advanced of any car on the road today. The new Octavia is available with two petrol and two diesel engines, and a range of manual and automatic gearboxes.
This includes a revolutionary 7-speed DSG dual clutch transmission system, specifically developed for the 118TSI engine.
The new Octavia's engine displacements and outputs cover a wide range, meeting the needs of every customer. Petrol engines include the 90TSI engine and the turbocharged 118TSI with an output of 118kW. The Octavia also offers a choice of diesel engines; the 77TDI and a powerful turbocharged 103TD.

constant attention. When it comes to the safety of passengers and others
we make no compromises, which is why you’ll find only the most advanced
technology in our cars.
The Octavia is equipped with an ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Program)
system which includes the cooperating systems ABS, EBD, and ASR working
in unison to enhance safety and control.
The new Octavia is also equipped with three-point adjustable front seatbelts,
three three-point seatbelts in the back, a fourth generation immobiliser,
safety lights on the panelling of the front doors, a system that automatically
closes off the fuel supply in case of an accident and other important
safety elements.
Octavia gets new character
The Octavia has undergone a modernisation that has given the most successful Škoda model even more self-confidence - and a new character.
A number of components in the car exterior and interior now offer increased comfort and improvements in handling.
The greater ease of control is helped by new headlights, wing mirrors with a larger area and fifth generation parking sensors.
In the interior, there is a new instrument panel with clearly legible white scales and (depending on the level of equipment), for example, new Semi-automatic or Climate control air conditioning control dials, with an electronic link and integrated switches for heating the front seats.
Passengers in the front and rear seats will now enjoy the ride even more thanks to the spacious interior, as well as the new audio systems, including top-quality Columbus navigation and multimedia systems with a colour touch-screen display. Thanks to the optional MDI (Media Device Interface), equipment like iPods or USB sticks can be operated directly using the control elements for the car radio or a multi-functional steering wheel.
Comfort is also increased by new upholstery and a new design for the central part of the seats, harmonised with other interior elements, including the decorative trim inserts.
